As a result of the ongoing downturn in the UK housebuilding market, and despite considerable efforts over a sustained period of time to stabilise the business, it is proposed that a managed wind-down of the Scotframe business will now begin which would include its Cumbernauld manufacturing site.
Saint-Gobain will continue to offer specialised Closed-Panel Timber Frame solutions from its Saint-Gobain Solutions Midlands Hub.
The wind-down of Scotframe will continue over Q3 of 2026, with the Cumbernauld site planned to close by the end of Q3 2026.
