About Us
Established in 1989, Scotframe is now one of the largest timber frame providers in the UK. Part of the global Saint-Gobain group since 2017, Scotframe operates across the UK and has a growing portfolio of international clients. Over the past three decades, the company has supplied timber frame kits for over 30,000 homes.
The company has two manufacturing centres in Inverurie (near Aberdeen) and Cumbernauld (near Glasgow) as well as sales offices and showrooms in Inverness, Dundee and Swindon. Scotframes employs over 190 people and has a turnover of more than £36 million.
Scotframe has pioneered the development of closed panel insultation systems – our Valutherm+ panels are precision factory injected to provide airtight, maintenance free and long lasting insulation, cutting energy bills to virtually zero.
Our timber is provided from sustainable sources and transported to our manufacturing centres in bulk to reduce our carbon footprint. We operate a recycle and reuse policy to ensure minimal waste.
Scotframe has won a number of prestigious awards, most recently the Build It Awards in 2018 for ‘Best Self Build under £250k’.

The Structural Timber Association (STA) has awarded Scotframe ‘STA Assure Gold’, their highest accreditation level in their STA Assure quality assurance scheme.
STA Assure is designed to benefit both clients and members by promoting the differing accreditations and quality standards held by individual STA member companies. The scheme offers reassurances to the construction community that members meet or even exceed current legislation and regulatory requirements.
STA have established three levels of membership accreditation – Gold, Silver and Bronze. The accreditation highlights the differing levels of quality procedures, management systems and product performance standards, together with external accreditations held by STA members.
STA Assure has received formal recognition from some of the industry’s leading structural warranty and building control bodies – LABC Warranty, Premier Guarantee, Protek Warranty, Build-Zone Warranty, Self-Build Zone Warranty, and ABC+ Warranty.
